“ Come here all the time. I love the cozy south Philly vibe here. On top off the food being so so good and having a diff menu every so often i get excited to go and see what's new ”
“ Classic bar, friendly staff large beer menu. Fried pbj sandwich was unique and very good. ”
“ Good service, food and choice of beers. Tucked a short bit away from the main areas along Broad. Worth the walk to check it out. ”
“ I might've been here a handful of times. The vibes was always there. The crowd is cool. The servers and bartenders were very down to earth. The price point wasn't bad either. I had a fried pb&j for the first time and was pleasantly impressed. It was sobering I never knew I needed to try. It wasn't overly sweet but just the right amount. As I'm sitting here writing this review I'm thinking about going back tonight to order another one with a glass of white wine because I'm childish adult LOL. ”
“ Always receive excellent service and even better food at SPTR. This is my local joint so it's an easy walk but close to the BSL and worth a trip southward. Great happy hour apps and bevs. I always get their ceasar, heavily dressed and so good. Have also really enjoyed crispy Brussels sprouts, hush puppies (happy hour only!), and crispy Korean chicken sando. They have a new vegetarian hoagie i am eager to try. Don't miss the fried PB&J, I dream of it. Kid and small-group friendly, plus a few outdoor seats for a lovely fall evening. ”
“ Very nice casual bar atmosphere. The service was super quick and friendly. I got the burger and it was delicious nothing to complain about ! ”
“ The SPTR is exactly the type of place that I would create in a lab if I had access to some Weird Science type of machine. I'd cut up pictures of my favorite parts of my favorite bars I've ever been to, and I'd throw them into the Weird Science machine, and it would spit out the SPTR. - Good enough beer selection. I don't need to be overwhelmed. Just give me options for however I'm feeling that day. - Really tasty food. The burger was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. - The vibe is great. Going solo? Going on a date? Going with friends to hang? You can do all of those things here. - The staff were on top of everything. - Good music. What does SPTR have that you don't need or want? I can't think of a single thing. I feel even more blessed that my good friends live right next to it. Will definitely be back. ”
“ Great find! We were hungry after a long and underwhelming experience at the Philadelphia Wine School. We noticed SPTR has a kitchen that's open late, and we were fortunate enough to get a table (around 10:00 PM). This place has upscale bar food and cocktails. The four of us ordered a few items to share - Vegan Cheesesteak, Crispy Brussels, Wings, Roasted/Buffalo Cauliflower, and a killer Peanut Butter and Jelly dessert that knocked our socks off. Everything was delicious! Our server was super funny and chill. He made great recommendations and checked in on us regularly. So glad we happened upon this place! ”
